Spanish Teacher training description

This summer, Denver Spanish House will be offering a training for people interested in learning or refining their Spanish-teaching skills.

The training will last 26 hours and will include:

• How to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking
• Tips for lesson planning
• Interactive games and activities for the Spanish classroom
• Teaching Spanish to professionals
• Incorporating videos, music and other mediums into the classroom
• Successful classroom management
• Managing problem solving
• Observed teaching sessions
• Observing and critiquing other teachers

The training will be taught in Spanish by a native speaker from Argentina with extensive experience teaching Spanish and English as well as a strong background in curriculum development.

Training Cost

Learn to communicate with your students and parents through our class focused on Spanish for teaching professionals. Special attention is paid to prepare you to converse with those parents of your students who are monolingual Spanish speakers.

Spanish will focus on industry-specific phrases and concepts to communicate with Spanish speaking clients of your not-for-profit or government organization.

Most travelers would agree that a grasp of conversational and transactional Spanish makes a trip to Latin America or Spain less stressful and more enjoyable. You will feel more in control of your trip and be able to connect to the culture through an understanding of the language, and locals appreciate your effort as well.

Travel classes will cover:

• Practicing logistical conversations: ordering at a restaurant, buying a ticket and making a reservation
• Getting and understanding directions
• Expressing wants, needs, and preferences
• Having basic conversations
