About Nikki Knaddison

Recently returned from a year living, working, and traveling through the Spanish-speaking world, Nikki is excited to start sharing her lifelong love of the Spanish language through Spanish classes in the Denver area. Spanish really came alive to Nikki while studying abroad in Argentina in 2000. At its core, language allows us to communicate and to connect with people and cultures in a way that would be
impossible without knowledge of the language.

Nikki again enjoyed the usefulness of Spanish when she started working in Denver for not-for-profit organizations focused on Latino families and kids. Beyond this practical field experience, she has also studied Spanish formally, minoring in Spanish at Whitman College and studying at the University of Buenos Aires. She holds a superior Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (Diploma de espaƱol como lengua extranjera--D.E.L.E.) from the Cervantes Institute.

Nikki is certified in language instruction and has taught English and Spanish in Denver and Argentina.

The Dream of the Denver Spanish House

Several years ago, Nikki was looking for a way to practice her Spanish speaking with other Spanish-lovers, and realized that Denver needs a comfortable environment to learn Spanish at all levels and interests. Her dream for Denver Spanish House is to expand beyond a school and provide a place to taste wines from Argentina, Spain, and Chile; participate in a book club; enjoy a Spanish-language movie night or soccer game; or simply relax with a cup of coffee while listening to Spanish-language music.
