Summer music recommendation!

From Julieta Venegas, Limón y Sal is a great Spanish language pop album to enjoy this summer. Packed with interestingly crafted songs, the album is catchy and widely appealing. Her voice is light and classic, and for those learning Spanish, her lyrics are easy to understand.

Why learn Spanish?

Learning Spanish is clearly a valuable skill in today's connected world: it opens up possibilities in employment, travel, and conversation. Economist Tyler Cowen points out another important reason why learning a foreign language is important: that critical thinking, judgment, and empathy are increasingly important skills in a knowledge economy. In a world where these characteristics are highly valuable, the best investment in your education is not technical, but general: learning to learn instead of learning to do something. Classes are now offered through the Denver Spanish House!
