SPECIAL EVENT: Picasso's Guernica and the Politics of franquismo: September 12th, 7pm

A Look at Spanish Political History through the Lens of Art

Join us for an hour long special event to hear about one of Picasso's most famous works against its historic backdrop and discuss its effects on modern Spanish society. The talk will be presented in English by Spanish and artphile Natalie Romano.

About Natalie

Natalie Romano graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with her B.A. in Spanish in May 2008. After graduating with her degree, Natalie spent a month studying Spanish literature and history at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. Natalie has a strong background in both art history and Spanish literature and enjoys studying the parallels between the two areas of study. She looks forward to sharing her passion for art and Spanish with the Denver Spanish House!
