Class content

For students with a strong base of vocabulary who are comfortable speaking in the present (and familiar with the past), in this class we will:

Practice speaking about the past
Converse about history, food, travel, culture, politics, and opinions
Read articles and practice listening activities
Speak in the future
Talk about hypothetical situations (using conditional and if/then clauses)

We will use articles, listening exercises, songs, poems and various activities to practice reading, writing, speaking and listening in Spanish.

Class Pricing

The series includes eight weeks of 90 minute weekly classes. The total cost for the series is $144, payable in one payment or two payments of $75 (total $150).

Intermediate Spanish

This ongoing class for intermediate students is at 5:15pm on Wednesday nights. The class will focus on getting more comfortable speaking, building vocabulary, and incorporating intermediate grammatical concepts. We will also work on strengthening reading, writing and listening throughout the course.

Class Information

The intermediate group will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5-6:30pm, starting October 15th.

This eight week series of classes is for students who are comfortable speaking in the present, familiar with speaking in the past and who have a good handle on colors, days, time, numbers, preferences and likes, common adjectives and a good base of vocabulary.

Through this course, we will build on your beginner base by learning and practicing:

Talking about the past
Having in-depth conversations about various topics
Talking about future plans
Common idioms and expressions
New useful vocabulary
More accurate fluency

Class information

Nearly Intermediate Spanish meets on Thursday nights from 7-8:30pm.

This class is for students with a good base of vocabulary who are relatively comfortable speaking in the present and are knowledgable about speaking in the past but have some trouble conjugating. In Nearly Intermediate Spanish, we will:

expand your vocabulary
learn common expressions and phrases
practice using the conditional
practice speaking about the past
talk about likes, dislikes and opinions
speak about the future
study the subjunctive mood

Class Content

This ongoing class meets on Tuesday nights from 5:15-6:45pm. Designed for students wanting to take their Spanish to the next level, we will be building vocabulary while:

learning common idioms and expressions
practicing the conditional, future, imperfect and preterit
studying the subjunctive mood (in the present and imperfect)

Taught by a native speaker from Chile, the class will be use articles, songs, poems and listening activities to strengthen your language skills.

Lower Intermediate Spanish

Class Content

If you are comfortable with: speaking in the present, basic conversation, regular verbs in the past and have a base of vocabulary, join lower intermediate Spanish!

We will build on what you already know, through:

Talking about the future
Practicing common regular and irregular verbs in the present
Expanding your vocabulary with cognates and common words
Learning common expressions and phrases
Practicing speaking in the past

This class will be on Tuesday nights from 7-8:30pm on an ongoing basis. We will not have class the weeks of major holidays.
