-Students read about the history of and reviewed a vocabulary list for Mexican Independence Day.
-We reviewed verbs and body parts with Simon Dice.
-We reviewed our reading as a group and looked at pictures of this festival. We watched a video clip from the actual celebration this week in Mexico City.
-We talked about the "grito" (shout) that we will do at school in honor of the festival. It will take place this Friday at 1:10 at the Compass.
-Students were given maps of Mexico and marked the city of Dolores on it.
-They also made bell necklaces to bring to the "grito".
-TAREA: Students have a worksheet to complete. If you were missing on a trip, please look over the reading, vocabulary, and multiple choice worksheet. Do your best to answer the questions. We will talk more about this holiday when you return.
