Class Activities: 

Students arrived and took their text on various review topics we've been working on the last few weeks. Test is attached.

With the remaining time in class, we started our new unit. Students were paired up and will be studying a Spanish-speaking country in depth for the majority of the remaining classes we have. We made a list of all of the Spanish-speaking countries. In their pairs, students had 15 minutes to decide what country they want to study and had to write a brief text starting with: Queremos estudiar (este paĆ­s) porque.... They were then to come up with a list of aspects of the country they are interested in studying (holidays and celebrations, food, music, etc.)

Tarea: bring in a recipe of a dish specific to the country they will be studying. The recipe needs a list of ingredients and can take no longer than 30 minutes. After spring break we will be preparing dish in class.
