Intermediate Spanish

This ongoing class for intermediate students is at 5:15pm on Wednesday nights. The class will focus on getting more comfortable speaking, building vocabulary, and incorporating intermediate grammatical concepts. We will also work on strengthening reading, writing and listening throughout the course.

Class Information

The intermediate group will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5-6:30pm, starting October 15th.

This eight week series of classes is for students who are comfortable speaking in the present, familiar with speaking in the past and who have a good handle on colors, days, time, numbers, preferences and likes, common adjectives and a good base of vocabulary.

Through this course, we will build on your beginner base by learning and practicing:

• Talking about the past
• Having in-depth conversations about various topics
• Talking about future plans
• Common idioms and expressions
• New useful vocabulary
• More accurate fluency

Class information

Nearly Intermediate Spanish meets on Thursday nights from 7-8:30pm.

This class is for students with a good base of vocabulary who are relatively comfortable speaking in the present and are knowledgable about speaking in the past but have some trouble conjugating. In Nearly Intermediate Spanish, we will:

• expand your vocabulary
• learn common expressions and phrases
• practice using the conditional
• practice speaking about the past
• talk about likes, dislikes and opinions
• speak about the future
• study the subjunctive mood

Class Pricing

The beginner series includes eight weeks of 90 minute weekly classes. The total cost for the series is $144, payable in one payment or two payments of $75 (total $150).

Class Content

This ongoing class meets on Tuesday nights from 5:15-6:45pm. Designed for students wanting to take their Spanish to the next level, we will be building vocabulary while:

• learning common idioms and expressions
• exploring the conditional
• studying the subjunctive mood
• practicing si clauses
• using reflexive verbs
• expanding verbs like gustar

We will be using articles, songs, poems and listening activities to strengthen your language skills.
