Class Goals:

A fun activity to review vocabulary (or almost anything) with students in an active manner.

Class Activities:
  1. Before class you write a bunch of things on the board. In this example you write every students name on the board.
  2. The class is divided into teams and each team is given a flyswatter. Each team gets in a row and one person from each team steps to the front of the class.
  3. The teacher asks a question like "QuiƩn es pelirroja?" and then the students would run to the board and put their flyswatter on the name of the student with red hair.

With a smaller group or if students want to stay at their desks, give students a handout with vocabulary words you want to review. Explain words and students find them on the sheet. When students feel comfortable, they take turns explaining words.

For periodic review, give each student task of making review sheet for a specific set of vocabulary words, and coming up with explanations.
