Class Content

This ongoing class meets on Tuesday nights from 5:15-6:45pm. Designed for students wanting to take their Spanish to the next level, we will be building vocabulary while:

  • learning common idioms and expressions
  • practicing the conditional, future, imperfect and preterit
  • studying the subjunctive mood (in the present and imperfect)

Taught by a native speaker from Chile, the class will be use articles, songs, poems and listening activities to strengthen your language skills.

Class Pricing

The intermediate series includes eight weeks of 90 minute weekly classes. The total cost for the series is $144, payable in one payment or two payments of $75 (total $150).

Lower Intermediate Spanish

Class Content

If you are comfortable with: speaking in the present, basic conversation, regular verbs in the past and have a base of vocabulary, join lower intermediate Spanish!

We will build on what you already know, through:

  • Talking about the future
  • Practicing common regular and irregular verbs in the present
  • Expanding your vocabulary with cognates and common words
  • Learning common expressions and phrases
  • Practicing speaking in the past

This class will be on Tuesday nights from 7-8:30pm on an ongoing basis. We will not have class the weeks of major holidays.

Spanish for hospital workers

Spanish for hospital workers is for social workers and medical staff who want to be able to speak with patients and their families. Students should have an introductory knowledge of Spanish. Classes will meet on Thursday nights from 5:15-6:45pm starting October 27th. Classes will break for the holidays.

Classes will include:

  • industry-specific vocabulary
  • basic conversation with patients and their families
  • explaining processes
  • describing people and things
