AS High Beginner: Thurs Jan 15

Class Activities: 

-Students practiced with the verb "gustar", listing things they like and do not like. They practice in partners as well.
-We played a game for practice with speed and fluency.
-We played a trivia game to review all the genres of Latin music we discussed this quarter.

2nd Period Matrix: Wed Jan 14

Class Activities: 

-Students practiced with numbers 1-100 in Spanish.
-We reviewed vocab for items in the classroom.
-We played a guessing game.
-We voted on games to play for a day of games. This was rewarded to them for their good behavior with the substitute last week.
-Students practiced conversation in partners.

1st Period Matrix w/ Kimber: Wed Jan 14

Class Activities: 

-Students practiced writing sentences to describe someone in their family.
-We played "Quien tiene la moneda".
-We reviewed what they learned about Frida Kahlo from the picture book.
-We talked about the next class book we will make, full of self portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo.
-We continued reading "Las aventuras de Isabela"

AS Beginner: Wed Jan 14

Class Activities: 

-Students answered questions about Spanish-speaking artists.
-We played a trivia game to review the artists we learned about.
-On Friday, we will have a quiz on the artists and art vocab.

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and did their final station (100 most common verbs, opposite words, verb conjugations)

Students received attached worksheet and used their music packet to answer questions.

tarea: finish music questions. On Friday we will be having a competition with information from the quarter so students can also review as homework.

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and quizzed each other on past participle irregulars (used with present perfect)

frase del día: camarón que se duerme se lo lleva la corriente

students practiced conversation about movies, travel and books using present perfect.

Students finished attached worksheet about music (that we will use in competition next class so students should bring it to class).

tarea: we'll be competing on Thursday with information from this quarter (frases del día, música, perfecto de indicativo). Students can spend some time preparing

Students arrived and quizzed each other on phrases of the day.
We went over them as a class.

We did a competition against my other Spanish classes practicing essential questions in Spanish.

tarea: 1. work on phrases of the day 2. have your Spanish folder organized and I will look at them on Wednesday
