Assessment and reading books

Class Activities:

Students filled in the cover sheet and handed in the final draft of the book about themselves.

Students took assessment to determine their Spanish level for next year. Based on the results of the assessment and my experience with students, I will recommend their level for Spanish next year in their 4th quarter evaluation.

Students had formerly written a story using a refrán (saying). They read their books out loud to the class today.

Assessment and review game (5/16)

Class Activities:

Students took assessment test to see what level I recommend for them next year. Based on the assessment and my experience with students, I will recommend a level on their 4th quarter Spanish evaluation.

After completing the assessment, students had a few minutes to review information in their binders from all of the units we've studied this year.

We played a jeopardy-like review game competing in teams answering review questions from the year.

Tarea: final drafts of books about various countries in Latin America are due this Friday. Students need to coordiante with their partner to make sure the final drafts are handed in Friday. If students missed a deadline and didn't hand in a rough draft, they need to coordiante with me (nikki@denverspanishhouse.com) to make sure their drafts have all received corrections. After books are handed in we won't have much/any homework through the end of the year since this was such a big project!
