Explorando América latina: En la cocina (4/6/12)
Submitted by Nikki on
Students arrived and found their station including ingredients and their recipe for making their country's dish. Students needed to follow our rules decided on in the prior class, including using care with the stove, oven and knives, washing hands, and speaking Spanish in the kitchen.
Students had the remainder of class to make their dish and plate it for other students to try. Students made:
* alfajores: Argentina
* dobladas: Guatemala
* cajeta de coco: Costa Rica
* platátanos fritos: Costa Rica y Honduras
Tarea: students should have handed in their rough draft of their book page about food today. A few groups did not hand in their page which they need to hand in next Wednesday (although it will be considered late). Students who handed in their page have no homework.
