-We had our class debate: Madrid v. Barcelona. Both groups did a great job of presenting good information and speaking clearly. In the end, Barcelona won by a couple points. Wonderful work by all!

-Students reviewed numbers higher than 1,000.
-Marla came to present to our class about Barcelona, and the time she spent there. She talked about the culture of the city, the art, the architecture, the typical foods, the music and dance, and more! Students asked questions and listened respectfully.

Students finished their assessments in the first part of class and then two remaining groups presented about Picasso and El Greco.
We will have class next Wednesday and Friday and will be doing review and games.

-Students practiced the Madrid conversation in partners. We will present these in class next Wednesday. Repetition will help with pronunciation and fluidity!
-We went over the Spain information and filled in answers students didn't have completed.
-We played a trivia game with the information on Spain.
-TAREA: Students need to study for a quiz on Spain. The passports are due next Friday, so students should fill out sections for Dominican Republic and Spain.

Students arrived and prepared their debates.
Students spent the class arguing that Barcelona is a better city than Madrid. Students had a few minutes between sections of the debate to add new points. The debate went really well -- students argued clearly and had done some great research.
Tarea: no hay. We will be having 2 more classes, Tuesday and Thursday next week and will be reviewing and playing games about what we've learned this year. We will be doing an assessment on Tuesday.
