Logan before school high intermediates 22 de mayo de 2014

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and prepared their debates.

Students spent the class arguing that Barcelona is a better city than Madrid. Students had a few minutes between sections of the debate to add new points. The debate went really well -- students argued clearly and had done some great research.

Tarea: no hay. We will be having 2 more classes, Tuesday and Thursday next week and will be reviewing and playing games about what we've learned this year. We will be doing an assessment on Tuesday.

2nd Period Matrix: Wed May 21

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed numbers higher than 1,000.
-We played the "Quien tiene?" game and the class beat their previous time.
-We practiced command verbs and played a game.
-We read "Cualquier cosa para la propina" as a class. We will go over it more in class on Friday.
-TAREA: none

AS Beginner: Wed May 21

Class Activities: 

-Students translated sentences to Spanish.
-Adrian talked to the class about his recent trip to Spain. He brought photos to show the sites he saw in Barcelona, Figueres, Segovia, and Madrid.
-TAREA: Students were given a copy of a conversation to practice out loud at home. We will present this in partners in class.

Brynn presented about Salvador Dali and had a quiz after.

Students started the assessment and will complete it Friday morning so please make sure to arrive on time to class.

Tarea: for students who haven't presented, be ready to present Friday and we'll meet in the computer lab.

Class Activities: 

Frase del día: el que mucho abarca, poco aprieta

Students had the class to practice for the debate about Madrid vs Barcelona on Thursday. They wrote everything they know about different categories having to do with Barcelona. Students divided up orders and responsibilities.
