Logan before school intermediates 24 de septiembre de 2014

Class Activities: 

Sorry students for not posting lessons until now. Today we combined our class with Kimber's and watched videos in Spanish about several of the wonders of the Spanish-speaking world, including:
* Machu Picchu
* Canal de Panamá
* El gran agujero azul
* Ruinas maya
* Las cataratas de Iguazú
* La isla de pascua
* El Salar de Uyuni

Students took notes which they handed in.

Tarea: no hay (as long as students already handed in their completed Maravillas trivia worksheet--attached)

2nd Period Matrix: Wed Sept 24

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed action words.
-We practiced all the verbs we know so far.
-We reviewed directional words and I gave students a list of vocab for this.
-We talked about different wonders of the world and students filled out their own worksheet as we discussed them and looked at photos. We will finish this on Friday.
-Claire led us in our daily routine.

AS Beginner: Wed Sept 24

Class Activities: 

-We watched videos on various wonders of the Spanish-speaking world.
-Student completed a worksheet while watching.
-TAREA: homework is to study the list of vocab on "Maravillas". We will have a quiz on Friday.

2nd Period Matrix: Fri Sept 19

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed verbs by describing what a person in the picture is doing.
-We reviewed objects around the classroom.
-Connor led us in our daily routine.
-We went over some basic directional vocab.
-We did a storytelling activity together.
-There is no make up work or homework.

1st Period Matrix w/ Kimber: Fri Sept 19

Class Activities: 

-We reviewed locations of the wonders of the world with true/false statements in Spanish.
-We practiced our prepositions song.
-Students were given vocab sheets with the conversation questions they need to know for class. It should stay in their Matrix binders. They practiced in partners during class.
-We played a game for practice with near/far vocab.

AS Beginner: Fri Sept 19

Class Activities: 

-We talked about geography of some of the famous places we will discuss this quarter.
-Students reviewed action words and basic conversation.
-We played games for practice with listening comprehension.
-There is no make up work.
