Logan before school high intermediates 2 de octubre de 2014

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and completed reading comprehension activity about travel. We went over it as a class and made sure students understood all vocabulary.

We went over countries and capitals.

We talked about the plan for the next few weeks of class:
7 de octubre:
* time to work in computer lab on:
1. receta en español
2. una página -- información de su lugar
3. dar lista de ingredientes a Nikki

9 octubre:
due: una página -- información de su maravilla del mundo

14 octubre:
due: receta en español

15 de octubre: students will make the cake at their house

16 de octubre: students will come in and finish making and present their cake. We will take pictures to display with their one page write up

Finally, students worked on the attached sheet about the wonders of the Spanish-speaking world.

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and took a quick quiz about irregular verbs in the preterite.

We went over countries and capitals of the Spanish-speaking world

Students had a little time to work with their partner about their cake plan that they will be making on the night of October 15th and bringing in the morning of the 16th to finish decorating.

Tarea: no hay (but continue thinking about cake project)

2nd Period Matrix: Wed Oct 1

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed locations of different wonders of the world.
-We reviewed items in the classroom.
-We began writing a silly story together. We will finish it on Friday.
-We played the blindfold game for practice giving directions and hearing directions.

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and wrote down the country where the wonders of the world we've been working on are. We went over capitals of all of the Spanish-speaking countries.

Students worked in teams and were quizzed on various knowledge about basic Spanish information, including:
* which nouns are masculine and feminine (what endings)
* present tense verbs
* indirect object pronouns used with gustar
* present progressive
* how to pluralize nouns

Next class we are going to start a project where students are assigned on of the wonders of the Spanish-speaking world and they need to come up with a trip package and make a brocure about it, describing the trip and how much it's going to cost.

Tarea: study for quiz Wednesday on review items above

Logan 3rd period Spanish with Nikki 26 de septiembre

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and wrote translations to the following words:
1. shirt (camisa)
2. pants (pantalones)
3. shoes (zapatos)
4. coat (abrigo)
5. toothbrush (cepillo de dientes)

We went over all of the places we are studying and the country plus capital of each place. We voted on a destionation of where we would take a trip as a class to the Spanish-speaking world. Students chose las cataratas de Iguazú.

Students came up with a list of things we would need to pack:
* pyamas
* traje de baño
* libros
* cuaderno
* cámera
* ropa interior
* dinero
* animal de peluche
* identificación
* pasaporte
* teléfono
* mapa
* protector solar
* botella de agua
* abrigo
* cepillo de dientes

We came up with a list of things that we need to do in planning for our trip:
* plan de viaje
* transportación
* pasaportes
* hacer las maletas
* hotel
* boletos

In pairs, students are in charge of one aspect of our trip.
