2nd Period Matrix: Wed Oct 8

Class Activities: 

-Students used a map of a town and practiced writing directions from one place to another.
-We played Simon Dice with review on directions and action words.
-We did a listening activity where students led their own car through the town following my spoken directions.
-We played a trivia game with the Wonders of the World.

Logan 3rd period Spanish with Nikki 8 de octubre 2014

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and quizzed each other on capitals and countries in the Spanish-speaking world.

Students had the rest of the class to work on their part of our trip to las Cataratas de Iguazú.

Tarea: have their part of our trip ready (pairs of students were assigned a part of our trip--passports, packing, etc).

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and quizzed each other on countries and capitals of the Spanish-speaking world (they could use their maps)

We went over some vocabulary to be able to play "go fish". Students played at their tables.

We played a battle ship game practicing clothing.

We described students in Spanish class.

Tarea: to play go fish at home. Students will teach you the vocabulary below to play the whole game in Spanish.

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed conversational questions and answers.
-We played a game for practice with the travel items vocab.
-I handed back their quizzes.
-We read together out loud about our first day trekking the Inca Trail.
-TAREA: Students have a journal page to complete about the first day on the trail.

AS High Beginner: Tues Oct 7

Class Activities: 

-We met in the tech lab and students did an activity to practice using this site to look up homework and lesson plans.
-Students worked on researching el Camino del Santiago in Spain.
-Students worked in pairs to come up with a list of items they would need to bring on the Camino.
-TAREA: Students have a dialogue worksheet to complete for Thursday.
