Class Activities: 

Students defined attached verbs.

We went to the computer lab and students worked on:
* page description of their place (due Thursday)
* recipe in Spanish (due next Tuesday)

Class Activities: 

Students got a map of Central America and wrote down countries and capitals. We went over them as a group.

We played game "yo tengo, quien tiene." and students got their time down from around 3:45 to 2:32!

We played matamoscas using countries and capitals.

Students had an activity where they had different information and had to work together to purchase clothing for a trip.

Tarea: no hay (we are still waiting to not have students gone for class trips to start having homework)

Class Activities: 

Students got a map of South America with countries written on it and had to write down capitals. We went over them as a group.

We played game "yo tengo, quien tiene." and students got their time down from 3:53 to 2:53!

We played matamoscas using countries and capitals.

We went over some classroom phrases students need to start using (puedo ir al baño, puedo tomar agua, ¿cómo se dice...?).

I read a book to students and asked them questions about it.

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and labeled a map of South America with countries and capitals. We went over them.

Frase del día: estar hecho un almíbar (to be especially nice, like syrup)

we played matamoscas with tons of Maravillas, countries and capitals on the board.

Tarea: no hay (although students can keep working on their brochure which will be due next Friday)

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and received a blank map of South America. Using classroom maps, they wrote down the names of the countries and capitals which we then went over as a class.

We played a game practicing "yo tengo (I have)..." and "¿Quién tiene? (who has)..."

Students had the remainder of the class in the computer lab to work on their portion of our class trip to las Cataratas de Iguazú. Some students are making passports, others are arranging flights, hotels, itineraries.

Tarea: no hay (there isn't any)

Class Activities: 

Students arrived and received a map of Central America with countries labeled. Students used classroom maps to find the capitals of the countries and we went over the capitals as a group.

We played a game practicing "yo tengo (I have)..." and "¿Quién tiene? (who has)..."

We played "El cielo es azul, ¿cuántos años tienes tú?"

Students received attached worksheet with descriptions of families and a worksheet with drawings of several families. Students matched the correct description with the correct family drawing. Several students finished in class, but for those who didn't finish, they need to work on this as homework.

Students had to say Tegucigualpa (capital of Honduras) on the way out the door.

tarea (homework): students should set the timer for 10 minutes and do as much as they can matching the families with descriptions

Class Activities: 

We spent a few minutes at the beginning of class going over indirect object pronouns used with gustar and reflexive pronouns. Students took a quiz about some of the review items we've been working on.

Students had the remainder of class in the computer lab to work in their travel brochure promoting a 7-10 day travel package to their famous site.
