-We took a field trip to the Mexican grocery store nearby. Students worked in groups on a scavenger hunt around the school. We bought a few different items to try.

-I handed back each student's collection of work from throughout the year. They went through it to choose items to use for their final project, a Spanish portfolio. We began work on the portfolios in class. They are due Friday May 23rd.

-We played a game for review with some basic vocab.
-We discussed our plan for having the class join Suparna's Upper Primary Spanish class in the afternoon. Each student wrote 4 sentences to use for a True/False game.

-Students worked on their bilingual books. They are due on Friday. I reminded students to keep the illustrations simple.
-We will take a field trip in class on Friday to Avanza, the Mexican grocery store. We will not take more time than our 1 hour class. We will be doing a scavenger hunt in the store. Students do not need to bring anything along.

-Students presented their pages from our class book.
-We finished talking about the last Spanish artist, Joan Miro. We reviewed art from the other artists as well. We will take a quiz in class on Friday.

-Student reviewed talking about cost and things in the grocery store.
-We played a trivia game with info about Spain.
-We learned vocab for more types of food and talked about where to find them in the grocery store.
-We reviewed clothing vocab; Students presented to the class what they had on today.
-Students worked in partners practicing with clothing and cost.
-We talked about doing an activity with Suparna's class next Wednesday afternoon. It's not required of students, but they may participate if they want. We will plan it out more next week.
