Logan before school high intermediates 10 de abril de 2014

Class Activities: 

Students translated:
1. I'm so hungry that I could eat a whole pig.
2. Would you eat that?
3. I will make paella for dinner.
4. Would you cut the vegetables.

We listened to a text read aloud about the history of Spanish tapas.

Students were given a category about food and had to write all the words they could think of in that category (ej. fruit). We went over the vocabulary and students got points for any words they got and others didn't write down.

Tarea: bring in a recipe for a Spanish tapa or pincho

AS High Beginner: Thurs April 10

Class Activities: 

-Students reviewed present tense verbs.
-Students finished presenting their baseball player projects.
-We practiced commands and body parts with Simon Dice.
-Students were given a list for higher numbers in Spanish.
-We went through new vocab for the kitchen and sang a song.
-TAREA: study the numbers and kitchen vocab at home

2nd Period Matrix: Wed April 9

Class Activities: 

-Students gave feedback about 3rd quarter Spanish.
-We reviewed action words.
-We began talking about past tense verbs in preterite and imperfect forms. We looked at the different conjugations and discussed the meanings in English. We will talk about this again next week for those students on trips.
-TAREA: Complete the worksheet on past tense translations.

1st Period Matrix w/ Kimber: Wed April 9

Class Activities: 

-Students practiced changing verbs to match with the subject of the sentence.
-Students practiced conversation in partners.
-We went over the previous homework together, on present tense verbs.
-We sang "La bonita Sara"
-We talked about our new theme, Spain, and learned some new vocab about this country.
-TAREA: none, unless you need to re-do the previous assignment
