Students arrived and wrote about what they did during Thanksgiving break.

We talked about what students thought and talked about how Calle 13 used the Latin Grammys for their political message.

Tarea: read page 36-42 of the history of latin music article students were given in class

2nd Period Matrix: Fri Nov 21

Class Activities: 

-Students answered questions about merengue and salsa.
-We watched a video again on salsa dance and discussed the style and steps.
-We learned several different steps to salsa, including a turn.
-Students worked on distinguishing between the rhythm and sound of merengue vs. salsa.
-We played a review game in groups.

AS Beginner: Fri Nov 21

Class Activities: 

-Students answered questions in Spanish about Diego Velazquez.
-Students practiced conversation in partners.
-We played a game for review with action words in command form.
-We began talking about the next artist, Frida Kahlo.
